First Gen Students

I’m First!, an initiative of UStrive, is an online community celebrating first-generation college students.

Go College! Now is a bilingual web platform to inspire a college-going culture by providing free access to the award winning film First Generation and college planning resources for students, parents, and educators to help students transition from high school to college and beyond.

The mission of the Black First-Gen Collective is to support, study and disseminate intentional research, praxis and policy that specifically explores, interrogates, unpacks and disaggregates the unique experiences of Black first-generation undergraduate and graduate or professional school students.

The Center for First-generation Student Success, an initiative of NASPA and The Suder Foundation, is the premier source of evidence-based practices, professional development, and knowledge creation for the higher education community to advance the success of first-generation students. This website provides context for the current state of first-generation student success, shares current conversations and scholarly literature, offers access to programs and services, and highlights opportunities for engagement with the Center and committed colleagues.
