Finding films

SU Libraries' film collections are available as DVDs, streaming e-videos, and VHS.

You can find films in two main ways:

  1. Films on DVD are shelved in two locations on the first floor of the GAC. Use the WorldCat Discovery search tool to find films in the DVD collection.
  2. Streaming films and educational or documentaries can be found in two databases: Swank and Kanopy.
  • Swank contains popular feature films, or popular films that have played in movie theaters.
  • Kanopy mainly contains documentary or education-related films, as well as feature films of historical note.

Use the navigation links on the left side of this guide for more detailed information about finding films in these collections.

Alternatively, you can consult free streaming video websites. See a vetted list here.
