DNP project guide: Submitting to SOAR@SU

What is SOAR@SU?

SOAR@SU is Salisbury University Libraries' open access repository for research, creative works, and data. For more information about SOAR@SU, visit the SOAR@SU research guide.

Self-depositing your project to SOAR@SU

Step 1: Register an account

  • Go to and click on the login button on the upper right hand side
  • Select Click Here to register
  • Enter your email address (you will receive an email from MDSOAR asking you to complete your registration)
  • Follow the link in the email from MDSOAR to complete your registration

Note: When the MDSOAR team receives your registration information, it must add you as a submitter to the collection associated with your program. It’s advisable that you use your SU email for registration so that the MDSOAR team can easily identify your affiliation and program. As soon as the MDSOAR team adds you as a submitter (usually within a few hours after your registration), you will be able to submit your project to the SOAR@SU collection designated for DNP projects.

Step 2: Submit your project to SOAR@SU

  • Go to and click on the login button on the upper right hand side
  • Enter your email address and password to log in
  • From the list of institutions, select Salisbury University
  • From the drop down menu, select the collection SOAR@SU - SU DNP Projects
  • Select Submit a new item to this collection
  • Enter the information about your project
  • Upload your file
  • License your project ( e.g., select the license type from the drop-down menu, e.g. a Creative Common license) (optional)
  • Submit the SOAR@SU Distribution license, agreeing to grant SOAR@SU a non-exclusive right to reproduce, publicly display, and distribute your project at no cost to users world-wide

Step 3: Receive confirmation

After the SOAR@SU team reviews your submission, you will receive a confirmation email that your project has been added to the collection that you selected.
