While scientists primarily use journal articles when researching a specific scientific topic, they still use books when looking at big-picture issues, background information, trends, or topic reviews! Chemists also tend to use book chapters or sections over full books.
In order to find books on any desired topic, use the search box below to search our library books and ebooks. You can also find book chapters in many of the databases on the Find Primary and Review Articles Page.
Consider keywords related to your topic. How might you broaden, narrow, or modify them to find books for your research question? If you find a book owned by another University of Maryland System school, you can order it - for free! - to be delivered to the SU Library.
