Once you have an idea of your overall topic, it may be helpful to find examples of your topic to write about and analyze.
This kind of information can be found in books (ex: a book covering the history of a conflict) or in newspaper articles (ex: an event that is part of a particular conflict).
Remember, your midterm assignment must have at least 6 scholarly sources!
News articles are not peer reviewed and shouldn't be considered scholarly, so if you're using different kinds of sources be sure you're using them appropriately to contribute to more academic findings.

The "How To Find..." guide is a great thing to reference if you can't seem to find exactly what you're looking for in the library.
