Destress Before the Tests: #FinalsFairy in Quarantine Edition

The Finals Fairy is in Quarantine!

Just like the rest of Maryland, the Finals Fairy is staying safe at home this this spring semester.
But that doesn't mean she's not thinking of all her Salisbury University friends!

Instead of hiding prizes for you in the Libraries on campus, the Finals Fairy will be sending daily challenges your way during Finals Week through our social media feeds as a way to break up your day and provide a bit of a distraction. Who has the most stylish work from home outfit? Or who can whip up the tastiest-looking study food creation? Or pen the most touching finals-inspired poem? Winners of these daily challenges will receive their choice of a $25 e-gift card.

How does the Finals Fairy in Quarantine work?

  1. Daily challenges will take place Monday, May 11-Thursday, May 14.
  2. Challenges will be delivered through SU Libraries' social media. Keep an eye on #FinalsFairy on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
  3. Participants can enter their submissions* to the daily challenges through several means:
    • If you have a public social media account, tag us at "Salisbury University Libraries" on Facebook, or @SULibraries on Instagram and Twitter.
    • If you have a private social media account, send your submission to us as a private or direct message.
    • If you don't have a social media account, send your submission to us at libraries@salisbury.edu.
  4. Submissions should be sent by 12am Salisbury time.
  5. Two (2) winners** will be chosen from each daily challenge. One (1) winner will be chosen by the Finals Fairy Committee and one (1) winner will be chosen at random. Winners will be announced the following morning at 10am, and will be able to pick their prize from a selection of e-gift cards worth $25.

* Note that the SU Libraries may use submitted entries in future promotions and publications.

**Finals Fairy winners must be students (undergraduate or graduate) of Salisbury University, but all members of the campus community, including alumni, are encouraged to participate!
