Reference materials are items like encyclopedias, dictionaries, or other works that contain facts and background information. They are a good place to start in your research. They are often organized alphabetically, and beginning in the index (located in the back of the book) is a helpful to finding just what you need.

Need a refresher for A&P?

In this guide, you will find a variety of resources pulled together from various places designed to help you better understand the various biological systems that are being taught in BIOL 215/216, as well as opportunities to quiz yourself on these systems. These resources include but are not limited to:

  • 3D or 2D models of the body system in question
  • Interactive programs covering the systems of the body
  • Lectures from an (external) online educational platform on the various systems within the body
  • Online self-quizzes on components and parts found within the body
