Welcome to the Social Work Guide!

This subject guide is intended to be a starting point for your research on social work topics.  Recommended databases, journals, reference tools, and websites are listed (and linked when it is an electronic resource) from the menu above.  This Subject Guide was compiled by the library liaison to the Social Work Department, Mou Chakraborty.  If you have questions or need help with research, please use the information on the right to contact Mou.

As a social work student/practitioner you touch so many people's lives...you face an entire gamut of issues and challenges working with clients and patients. As you already know, social work is an interdisciplinary field drawing from psychology, education, health sciences, legal studies, etc. With so many resources out there, it may be difficult to find best books to read. Below is a list of titles that Social Work faculty recommend! Check these out at the library. If we don't own a title you can intelibrary loan them while I place an order to purchase it.
