What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service offered to patrons who are unable to find certain books or articles through SU Libraries or other USMAI Libraries. Library staff may be able to request these items if they are owned by libraries across the United States.

Direct Borrowing

Direct Borrowing
The SU Libraries are part of a library consortium known as USMAI or the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (including all USM universities, plus Morgan State University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and Loyola University/College of Notre Dame of Maryland). SU students, faculty, and staff have access to circulating books from ALL of the USMAI libraries through the library catalog; you can place a direct request in the catalog to borrow the book, and it will be sent to the Guerrieri Academic Commons for you to pick up. Most items arrive in 3 to 5 days. You also can borrow in person from other USMAI libraries.
