New Library System and Search Experience

The new system will help modernize our services and functions, provide more search options and an enhanced interface, and increase cooperation with other systems across our campus and with other academic institutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will the new system affect MyClasses?

Existing links to the library’s catalog will stop working shortly after May 23, 2024. For courses beginning in Summer 2024, we ask that you double check links in your MyClasses, syllabi, or other course materials and update the links where necessary as soon as possible after May 23.

Links that need to be updated will contain one of the following:

  • salisbury.on.worldcat.org
  • salisbury.worldcat.org
  • catalog.umd.edu

Will the Classic Catalog disappear?

Yes. No former version of the catalog will be available after our migration. The discovery search on our library homepage will be the only search option to locate library books, ebooks, DVDs, and other materials in our collections.

Which library links need to be updated?

Existing links to the library’s catalog will stop working on or shortly after May 23, 2024. Links that need to be updated will start with  salisbury.on.worldcat.org, salisbury.worldcat.org, or catalog.umd.edu/
