Due Dates and Returns

To give patrons flexibility in returning items, the due date has been changed to March 12, 2021 for all items that were already on loan (and not declared lost). We are offering the following options to deal with books you have on loan now:

  • Return them in person to one of the following book return bins:

    • near the Library Service Desk

    • outside the GAC, near the entrance facing Perdue and Henson Hall

    • outside the GAC, near the entrance facing the Rt. 13 parking lot

  • Mail the books to us at the following address:

Salisbury University Libraries
Guerrieri Academic Commons
1101 Camden Ave.
Salisbury, MD 21801

To minimize staff contact with materials, there may be a delay before returned items are scanned in the computer system.  If you have any questions about due dates or overdue fines, please feel free to email Amy Jones at amjones@salisbury.edu or Natasha Finnegan at nefinnegan@salisbury.edu

Books Only

Changes to Library Services

The Guerrieri Academic Commons is open to Salisbury University students, faculty, and staff only.

SU patrons should swipe your Gull Card to enter the building during all open hours.

Accessing Library Resources:

The Library Service Desk is open for SU patrons to borrow library materials, but many services, policies, and procedures continue to be different in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We offer both in-person and contactless options for borrowing library materials.  For in-person service, please be sure to bring your Gull Card.

  • In-person:  We offer a self-checkout option for borrowing books at the Library Service Desk, and our staff will be happy to help you in checking out laptops and other equipment.

  • Contactless:

    • Our curbside pickup service continues for many library materials (most books and DVDs).  You can request items through the online catalog on the library homepage, and pick them up outside the GAC without any in-person contact.  For more information on using this service, please visit our Curbside Pickup page.

    • Students and faculty who need an article or book chapter in the SU Libraries collection can place a request to have these items scanned and uploaded to your Interlibrary Loan account.  Please note:  if you are requesting access to a book chapter in our collection, please provide the page numbers and/or chapter titles you need in the Notes field on the request form.

  • Find the item using the search box on the SU Libraries home page.

  • Click on the item title in the results list, and then click on the Find It link under Check Availability.

  • In the new window that opens, click on Request it from Interlibrary Loan.

  • If you have not created an Interlibrary Loan account, you will be prompted to do so, and then the request form will be filled in with the item information.

  • We must limit requests to 2 requests and 30 pages per day. We ask for your patience and understanding as it may take longer than normal to process requests.
