What is Your Assignment Asking You to Do?

Take a few minutes to think about your topic. Define your research scope by checking your assignment to find the requirements for the information you need:

  • Amount: How much do you need? 2-3 sources? 5? 15 or more?
  • Content: What kind or types of information?
  • Format: Books? Articles? Videos?

Other questions to ask:

  • What is the citation style?
  • How should they be formatted?
  • An annotated bibliography?
  • How many pages will you have to write? How long of a presentation?
