CADR 403 - Resolving Environmental Conflicts

A guide to help with your research paper for CADR 403 with Cinzia Lombardo.

The Shape of Research

An hourglass shape is labeled from top to bottom like a research paper can be formatted: Introduction to Body to Conclusion, with Thesis and Restate Thesis next to blue arrows on either side of the body sections.

The hourglass shape can be a good reminder of the flow from broad research to specific analysis that research follows, and includes reminders to state your thesis as requested by your instructor when describing your work.

Remember that your instructor has provided requirements for the body of your paper! (Assignment sheet, point 2 b-i).

Planning ahead and having alternate plans if something doesn't work out can help considerably with any research challenges you face. Take some time to think about what you already know about your conflict/topic, where you might find different relevant information (using the infographic above!), and do some keyword development if you haven't already!
