Your librarian for dance research

I'm Kathryn Kalmanson, your dance research specialist. Please let me know when you need help with your research!

The best way to reach me is by email. I check my email frequently during each work day, even when I'm not in my office.

You can also call me:  410-543-6190 (office), 410-845-9093 (mobile). If I can't answer at that moment, be sure to leave a message so that I can get back to you. You can also text me at the mobile number.

Your're always totally welcome to drop in at my office, Blackwell Library--BL129b.  My door is usually closed because people are studying nearby, but please come on in. I'm always glad to see you!

Welcome to the DANCE research guide!

This guide takes you through all the steps in researching a topic in dance. Included are links to all the "finding tools" that you will need to locate dance materials in Blackwell Library and the other libraries whose resources are easily available to you. I hope you'll find it useful.

If you have suggestions about how to improve this guide, please let me know!

Thoughts . . .

To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful. This is power, it is glory on earth and it is yours for the taking.  -- Agnes de Mille

Dance is for everybody.  I believe that dance came from the people and that it should always be delivered back to the people --Alvin Ailey
