Adding the SU Libraries Research Skills Module to a MyClasses course

Canvas Commons

ENGL `103 is an intensive introduction to research skills that will serve students well throughout the undergraduate experience. To supplement the teaching of research skills and concepts, 103 instructors are encouraged to have their classes complete these two library research learning modules at strategic times during Unit 1.

  • Early in the semester, students should complete the "Sources: Searching, Evaluating, Integrating" module as they complete the AutoEthnography assignment.
  • Toward the end of Unit 1, students should complete the "SU Libraries Research Skills Tutorial."

Directions for uploading these modules into your MyClasses course are below.

1. Find the Library Research Skills Tutorial in MyClasses by navigating to the Commons.

2. Search for the tutorials

  • For the tutorial that students complete during the AutoEthnography assignment, search "Sources: Searching, Evaluating, Integrating."
  • For the tutorial that students complete at the end of Unit 1, search: "SU Libraries Research Skills Tutorial"

3. Import the tutorial, selecting your destination course. It will take several minutes before the Module shows up in your course.
